It would be an understatement to suggest that this summer has been a busy one for us! Indeed, the season has gone by so fast that we’ve barely had time to catch up with all of our members and friends of Blackwood Lane! In truth, we were having too much fun! When you love what you do, time just has a way of melting away! Well, now that we’ve got a moment, here’s what we did over our summer at the winery!
Wedding Wonderland
With our newly completed patio, it’s no wonder that brides-to-be are flocking to check out Blackwood Lane for their upcoming nuptials! Complete with fire pits, fabulous mood lighting, a brick pizza oven, water features and a gazebo area for saying “I do,” there is no better place to have a wedding! And did we mention the view? With Mount Baker and the surrounding bucolic beauty as a backdrop, it’s the perfect location for tying the knot–not to mention your wedding pictures will be outstanding! This summer was no exception as we had the honour of playing host to some of the most gorgeous weddings of the season!
Pro-tip: If a wedding isn’t in your immediate future, Blackwood Lane is the perfect place for Date Night! Whatever time of the year it may be, love is always in the air at Blackwood Lane Winery!
Cars and Cabernet!
Owner of Blackwood Lane, Carlos Lee, loves cars. This is most likely because he spent a good part of his life designing them! And while he may have left Detroit’s auto industry for the lush vineyards of BC, he still has a soft spot in his heart for beautiful automobiles. This summer we had the pleasure of hosting a car meet up, featuring some gorgeous exotic models from the past and present. Our expansive property makes Blackwood Lane a prime location for car meetups! Whether it’s wine or cars, one thing that Blackwood Lane appreciates is quality, beauty and good taste!

Yes, that’s right! Carlos added some whimsey to the summer patio this summer by creating a driving range! Guests had a great time trying their golf skills, which, let’s face it, were greatly improved after a few glasses of Blackwood Lane wine! Did we mention our wine can improve golf scores?
President’s Lounge
Perhaps the most exciting addition to our winery this summer was the addition of our Presidènt’s Lounge! Inspired by the “speakeasies” of the 1920’s prohibition era, the lounge is a fun and fabulous place to host private parties and events! You’ll feel like you’ve gone back in time–even the entrance to the speakeasy is hidden! Call and ask us about booking the room for your next party or event!
The Vintner’s Suite
Our members love our winery so much that sometimes they don’t want to leave! Well, now they don’t have to! Our gorgeous Vintner’s Suite is the perfect place to unwind and relax after an epic evening at Blackwood Lane. Waking up to breathtaking views, bucolic scenery and peaceful quietude will leave you feeling refreshed, regenerated and ready to take on the week ahead!
“Fall” in Love with Blackwood All Over Again
If you happened to miss the blissful summer season at Blackwood Lane, there’s no reason for FOMO, as our Fall season is just as lovely. As the leaves begin to turn colour and the day’s get shorter, Blackwood Lane is the perfect place to getaway and enjoy our world-class wines with friends and family. Summer may be over, but the fun continues!
